LiUNA Local 607 is committed to building authentic, mutually beneficial partnerships with First Nations communities and Indigenous employment, training, and educational organizations across Northwestern Ontario.

Supported by Ontario’s Skills Development Fund, in 2025-26, LiUNA Local 607 developed a First Nations and Indigenous Workforce Development Organizations Partnership Strategy. This strategy was informed by expert input from First Nations and Indigenous partners in our region.

The strategy outlines the partnership values and model that will guide how we at Local 607 undertake our work to build partnerships that support training, employment, and long-term opportunities in the skilled trades. It will serve as a living guide as we continue to build relationships and deepen partnerships across the region.
