Trades Camp

LIUNA Local 607 is offering an exclusive Trades Camp experience for eight students between the ages of 16 and 19. This hands-on program is designed to introduce youth to the skilled trades while providing valuable experience, training, and insight into future career opportunities.

Expectations

Participants will develop practical skills through hands-on learning with industry tools and equipment, along with certified safety training delivered by experienced professionals. Each student will receive personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep, as well as daily transportation and lunches throughout the program.

Residential Construction Worker

The Residential Construction Worker Program is a training opportunity designed to build practical, job-ready skills for residential construction. Participants gain hands-on experience in core areas of homebuilding while developing the knowledge, confidence, and foundational trade skills needed to pursue work in the industry. 

Expectations

Participants should be prepared for hands-on learning in an active construction training environment. The program emphasizes safety, skill development, and teamwork, while supporting participants through basic skills upgrading and practical instruction across key areas of residential construction. A willingness to learn, participate fully, and build confidence in the trades is essential.
