Thunder Bay has a strong motorsport community, bringing together drivers, crews, volunteers, families and fans throughout the summer season.

For the 2026 season, LiUNA Local 607 is proud to sponsor local drivers T.J. Lynch and Ben DeFoy of DeFoy Racing as they compete at Thunder City Speedway.

Located on Highway 130, Thunder City Speedway hosts weekly dirt-track racing on Wednesday evenings, along with selected weekend events. The track gives local drivers a place to compete in front of hometown fans while helping keep regional motorsport active and accessible.

Racing requires a significant investment in equipment, maintenance, transportation and safety. Sponsorship helps teams manage those costs and stay focused on preparing for the season.
